ORDINANCE NO. 68-1-4
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE
A DEED OF CONVEYANCE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY,
CONVEYING LOT NO. 11 IN BLOCK No. 13 IN THE WHITTEMORE AND WALTERS
WEST END ADDITION TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH
WHEREAS on December 12, 1967 the Board of Commissioners of the
City of Paducah passed an ordinance authorizing conveyance of Lot No. 11
in Block No. 12 in the Whittemore and Walters West End Addition to the
City of Paducah to W. H. Yancy, and
WHEREAS the correct description of the property to be conveyed
should have been Lot No. 11 in Block No. 13 in the Whittemore and Walters
West End Addition to the City of Paducah,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the.Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are hereby
authorized and directed to execute a deed of correction to W. H. Yancy
in words and figures as follows:
"THIS DEED OF CONVEYANCE made and entered into on this the
day of January, 1968, by and between the CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, party
of the first part, and W. H. YANCY of the same city and state, party
of the second part;
W I T N E S S E T H
"THAT WHEREAS on December 1967, the party of the first part
herein conveyed to the party of the second part herein all its right,
title and interest in and to a certain lot of land described in said
deed as follows, to -wit:
"Being Lot No. 11, Block No. 12, Whittemore and
Walters West End Addition as shown from plat
Book A, pages 56 and 57 in the McCracken County
Court Clerk's office.
"AND WHEREAS, said description of said property is defective and
erroneous in that same does not adequately and sufficiently describe
the property intended to be conveyed.
"NOW THEREFORE in order to correct said incorrect description
and for and in consideration of the sum of One Dollar ($1.00) cash
in hand paid, and other good and valuable consideration, the receipt

of all of which is hereby acknowledged, the party of the first part
does by these presents hereby remise, release and quitclaim unto the
party of the second part the following described lot or parcel of land
lying in Paducah, McCracken County, Kentucky and more particularly
described as follows, to -wit:
"Being Lot No. 11, Block No. 13, Whittemore and
Walters West End Addition as shown from Plat Book
A, pages 56 and 57 in McCracken County Court
Clerk's office.
Being the same property conveyed to the City of
Paducah by Commissioner's Deed dated November 28,
1944, of record in Commissioner's Deed Book 12,
page 213, McCracken County Court Clerk's office.
"TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above quitclaimed property, together with
all rights, privileges and appurtenances therein belonging or in anywise
appertaining unto the party of the second part, his heirs and assigns
forever.
"IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, the party of the first part has hereunto set
its hand by and through its Mayor, Robert C. Cherry, and has caused its
corporate seal to be attached and attested by Sarah Thurman, its Clerk."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
