AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH.
KENTUCKY BY ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING ADJACENT TO THE N0RTHWEST
CORPORATE LIMITS OF SAID CITY, AND DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY
OF SAID PROPERTY TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN SAID CORPORATE LIMITS
WHEREAS, under'an ordinance adopted August 22, 1.967,'the City
of Paducah, Kentucky, by and through its Board of Commissioners
proposed to extend the boundary of the City by annexing certain
property lying adjacent to the northwest corporate Limits of same,
which property is hereinafter more particularly described, and
WHEREAS, said ordinance proposing such annexation and declaring
the desirability and necessity of same has been published in the Sun
Democrat, a newspaper published and distributed in the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, as provided and required by Section 424.130 of Kentucky
Revised Statutes, and
WHEREAS, a period of more than thirty (30) days has elapsed
since the enactment of said ordinance, and
WHEREAS, no petition or complaint has been filed in the McCracken
Circuit court protesting such extension of the corporate limits of
said City.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the hereinafter described property lying
adjacent to the northwest corporate limits of the City of Paducah, Kentucky
be annexed to said City, the same being more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at a point where the existing city limits along
the north right of way line of the P. & I, R.R. intersects the
west property line of Allen Lane; thence in a southerly direc-
tion and with the west property line of Allen Lane to the
southerly line of Stigall Heights Subdivision as recorded in
Plat Book "F", page 41, McCracken County Court Clerk's office;
thence in a southwesterly direction along the southerly line
of Stigall Heights Subdivision and with the southerly line of
Conrad Heights as recorded in Plat Book "D", page 39, McCracken
County Court Clerk's office a distance of 1958.44 feet; thence
at an interior angle of 97 degrees 47 minutes in a south-
easterly direction with the west line of Woodall, Paxton and
Peel property acquired by deed recorded in Deed Book 418.
page 69, McCracken County Court Clerk's office, 1320 feet,
more or less, to the northerly property line of Friedman Lane;
thence in a westerly direction with said northerly property
line of Friedman Lane 25 feet, more or less, to the westerly
property line of Friedman Lane, if extended; thence in a
southeasterly direction with the westerly property line of
Friedman Lane, if extended, and with the existing westerly
property line of Friedman Lane 1090 feet, more or less, to a

point where the line dividing the property of Woodall, Paxton
and Peel and Orchard Heights Subdivision would, if extended,
intersect the west line of Friedman Lane; thence in a north-
easterly direction with said dividing line to the east line
of the Woodall, Paxton and Pzsr1 property; thence continuing
in a northeasterly direction and with the northerly line of
Orchard Heights Subdivision to the present city limits on the
north right of way of the P & I R.R.; thence in a north-
westerly direction with the present city limits and with said
railroad right of way to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
