AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF LOU L. WILLIAMS FOR THE
PURCHASE OF PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, LOCATED ON THE
NORTH SIDE OF NORTH 13TH STREET NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF RUDY AVENUE,
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A DEED OF CONVEYANCE
FOR THE SAME ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the bid of Lou L. Williams in the amount of
$750.00 for the purchase of certain property owned by the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, be accepted, said property being bounded and de-
scribed as follows, to -wit:
A certain parcel of land situated and lying between Rowland
Place and the Paducah and Cairo Gravel road and cut off the
south or back end of a lot of land which was deeded to Lillie
B. Johnston by L. E. Reed and T. Douglas Reed on November 2,
1891 and described by meets and bounds as follows: Beginning
at a rock in the southeast corner of said lot as conveyed by
Reed to Lillie B. Johnston; thence north 9h degrees east 192
feet to a rock in the east line of said lot; thence north 82
degrees east parallel with the south line of said lot 83 feet
7 inches to a rock in the west line of said lot; thence south
5' degrees west 192 feet to a rock in the southwest corner
of said lot; thence south 82 degrees east with the south line
of said lot 77 feet 5 inches to the southeast or beginning
corner.
Being part of the property donveyed to the City of Paducah
by deed dated November 28, 1944, of record in Commissioner's
Deed Book 12, page 199, McCracken County Court Clerk's office.
SECTION 2. On receipt of the sum of $750.00 from Lou L. Williams
by the Senior Treasurer, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to execute a deed to said Lou L. Williams with only such warranty as
permitted by law, and subject to any state of facts that might be shown
by a current and accurate survey.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
