AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING
COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY BETWEEN 2ND AND 4TH
STREETS AND JEFFERSON AND HARRISON STREETS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS'•OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That a Resolution adopted by the'Paducah Planning
Commission on August 2, 1967, entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE
FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING
OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BETWEEN 2ND AND 4TH STREETS AND JEFFERSON AND HARRISON
STREETS", be approved as the final report of said Commission respecting
the matters therein set forth.
SECTION 2. That the zone classification of the following property
be, and it is hereby, changed from: (1) B-3 General Business Zone to
B-4 Commercial Zone, and (2) M-1 General Industrial Zone to B-4
Commercial Zone:
(1) Beginning at the intersection of the center line of 3rd Street
with the center line of Harrison Street; thence in a westerly
direction along and with the center line of Harrison Street a
distance of 206.5 feet, more or less, to a point in the center
line of Harrison Street; thence at right angles and in a
southerly direction toward Madison'Street along and with the
west property line of Kolb Bros. Drug Co., Harry Harris and
Daisy Dorrah a distance of 412.5 feet, more or less, to the
center line of Madison Street; thence in an easterly direction
along and with the center line of Madison Street a distance
of 206,25 feet, more or less, to the point of intersection of
the center line of Madison Street with the center line of 3rd
Street; thence at right angles in a northerly direction along
and with the center line of 3rd Street to the point of beginning.
(2) Beginning at the point of intersection of the center line of
Jefferson Street with the -center line of 2nd Street; thence in
a Northerly direction along and with the center line of 2nd
Street a distance of 858 feet, more or less, to the point where
the center line of 2nd Street intersects the Floodwall; thence
at right angles and in a westerly direction along and with the
Floodwall a distance of 210 feet, more or less to the point
where said Floodwall leaves Madison Street; thence in a
northwesterly direction along and with said Floodwall a dis-
tance of 400 feet, more or less, to the point where said
Floodwall meets Harrison Street; thence along and with said
Floodwall to the point where same intersects the center line of
3rd Street, said point being the point of beginning of Tract 1
above; thence in a southerly direction along and with the
center line of 3rd Street a distance of 825 feet, more or less
to the point where the center line of 3rd Street intersects the
center line of Monroe Street; thence at right angles in a
westerly direction along and with the center line of Monroe
a distance of 412.5 feet, more or less, to the point where the
center line of Monroe Street intersects the center line of 4th
Street; thence at right angles and in a southerly direction
along and with the center line of 4th Street a distance of 264
feet, more or less; thence at right angles and in an easterly
direction along and with the north line of J. D. Williams a
distance of 206.25 feet, more or less to a'point, the northeast
corner of the J. D. Williams lot; thence at right angles and
in a northerly direction a distance of 34.5 feet to a point;
thence at right angles and in an easterly direction, parallel

with the center line of Monroe Street a distance of 206.25 feet,
more or less, to the center .line of 3rd. Street; thence at right
angles and along and with the center line of 3rd Street in a
southerly direction.a distance of. -183 feet, more or..less, to the
Point of intersection of the center line of 3rd Street with the
center line of Jefferson Street; thence at right angles.and:in:,.
an easterly direction along and with the center line of
Jefferson Street a distance of 412.5 feet, more or less, to the
point of beginning.
SECTION 3. That the Paducah Zoning Ordinance -1961 and the Maps
referred to in Section 14 thereof, be, and they are hereby, amended to
the extent and in the respects necessary to effect and designate the
change provided for in Section 2 hereof.
SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this
ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid
for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph
or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision
hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make
each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof.separable from
all other sections,.:paragraphs and provisions.
SECTION 5. .This ordinance shall be.in full force and effect
from and after its adoption._:.
