AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF DUNCAN PARKING METER CORPORATION
TO FURNISH TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH APPROXIMATELY 134 PARKING METERS TO
BE INSTALLED AND USED AT THE PROPOSED CITY PARKING LOT ON THE SOUTHWEST
CORNER OF KENTUCKY AVENUE AND 3RD STREET, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF SUCH PARKING METERS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, accept the bid
of Duncan Parking Meter Corporation to furnish to the City approximately
134 parking meters to be installed and used on the proposed City parking
lot on the southwest corner of Kentucky Avenue and 3rd Street under the
following terms and conditions:
The 134 parking meters, more or less, shall be of one or two
types, or both, with the first type being known as Duncan Model "60"
Meter, which includes complete meter heads prepared in a time and rate
combination as specified by the City, with open or ejector type coin
box, Duncan washer detector, and painted aluminum, gunmetal or gold
color, at a unit cost of $65.00 each,'less $8.00 for any trade-in
for one used meter, and the second type being known as Duncan Duplex
Meters, providing two car spaces per unit and in all other respects
being identical to the Duncan Model "60" meters, which Duplex Meters
shall be at a unit cost of $122.00, less $10.00 trade=i_n allowance for
any two (2) used meters, all prices being f.o.b. Paducah, Kentucky.
The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into and execute
a contract for the purchase of parking meters as herein set out, and to
purchase 134 parking meters, more or less, of either type authorized,
or any combination thereof, 'as will best meet the need for parking
spaces to be provided in the proposed City Parking Lot.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced at a meeting of the
Board of Commissioners and remain on file for at least one (1) week for
public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon
its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect
ten (10) days thereafter.
