AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY BY ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING ADJACENT TO THE WEST
CORPORATE LIMITS OF SAID CITY, AND DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY
OF SAID PROPERTY TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN SAID CORPORATE LIMITS
WHEREAS, under an ordinance adopted May 9, 1967, the City
of Paducah, Kentucky, by and through its Board of Commissioners,
proposed to extend the boundary of the City by annexing certain
property lying adjacent to the west corporate limits of same, which
property is hereinafter more particularly described, and
WHEREAS, said ordinance proposing such annexation and declaring
the desirability and necessity of same has been published in the Sun
Democrat, a newspaper published and distributed in the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, as provided and required by Section 424.130 of Kentucky
Revised Statutes, and
WHEREAS, a period of more than thirty (30) days has elapsed
since the enactment of said ordinance, and
WHEREAS, no petition or complaint has been filed in the McCracken
Circuit Court protesting such extension of the corporate limits of
said City.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the hereinafter described property lying
adjacent to the west corporate limits of the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
be annexed .to said City, the same being more particularly described
as follows:
Being Lot No. 13, Block No. 1 of the A. E. (Jack) Cole
Property recorded in Plat Book "G", page 64, McCracken
County Court Clerk's office, beginning at the east
property line of 47th Street and the present city limits
195 feet south of Buckner Lane; thence in a southerly
direction with the east property line of 47th Street
southerly 200 feet to the north property line of Exall
Street; thence with an interior angle of 96 degrees
00 minutes easterly along the north property line of
Exall Street 65 feet; thence with an interior angle of
84 degrees 00 minutes northerly 200 feet to the present
city limits; thence with an interior angle of 96 degrees
00 minutes westerly along present city limits to the
point of beginning, which makes an interior angle of 84
degrees 00 minutes.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
