A RESOLUTION RECITING THE NEED FOR ACQUIRING CERTAIN LAND
OWNED BY THE TRUSTEES OF IRON WORKERS LOCAL UNION NO. 782 TO BE USED
FOR A PERMANENT AND TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION EASEMENT FOR A SEWER LINE,
AND PROVIDING AND AUTHORIZING THE CONDEMNATION OF SAME
WHEREAS certain land owned by the Trustees of Iron Workers
Local Union No. 782 in Paducah, Kentucky, is needed for construction of
a sewer, and
WHEREAS a final offer has been tendered on June 7, 1967
offering to pay $2,625.00 for the easement, and
WHEREAS the said Trustees were given until 5:00 P.M. June
27, 1967 to accept said offer, but have refused to accept said offer, and
WHEREAS after negotiating for the purchase of same it is not
possible to consummate such purchase at a value satisfactory to the
City of Paducah, Kentucky, and
WHEREAS it will be necessary to institute condemnation
proceedings in McCracken Circuit Court to acquire title to same.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Corporation Counsel be, and he is hereby,
directed and authorized to institute condemnation proceedings in McCracken
Circuit Court against the Trustees of Iron Workers Local Union No. 782,
and all parties in interest, to acquire title for sewer purposes to the
property owned by said Trustees on Jefferson Street between 11th and 12th
Streets and identified and described as part of Lots 31 and 32 in Block
10 of Enders First Addition to the City of Paducah.
SECTION 2. That the easement to be taken is more particularly
described as follows:
PERMANENT EASEMENT
A strip of ground 20 feet in width off the east side of
a lot located on the south side of Jefferson Street between
11th Street and 12th Street, being a part of Lots 31 and 32,
Block 10, Enders Addition, recorded in Deed Book "L", page
97, McCracken County Court Clerk's office, described as
follows: The east side of said strip of ground beging
193.5 feet west of the west property line of 11th Street
and extends back for a depth of 160 feet to a 26.5 foot
alley.
CONSTRUCTION EASEMENT
A strip of ground 20 feet in width and 160 feet in depth
lyign west of and adjacent to the above described permanent
easement.

Deed Book 483, page 402 in the McCracken County Court
Clerk's office.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
