RESOLUTION ENTITLED "RESOLUTION OF BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH
APPROVING THE URBAN RENEWAL PLAN AND THE FEASIBILITY OF RELOCATION FOR PROJECT
NO. KENTUCKY R-30"
WHEREAS, on October 28, 1965 the Board of Commissioners of the City of
Paducah adopted a resolution above referred to, and
WHEREAS, the Urban Renewal Plan consists of text and maps and the Land
Use Plan, U.R.P. Map No. 2 is a part of the Urban Renewal Plan and said map
designates Parcel 1, Block 1, for redevelopment as commercial parking, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah deems it
desirable and consistent with the sound needs of the community to modify the
land use of Parcel 1, Block 1 from commercial parking to public parking and
that the same is in the best interest and welfare of the public, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah has requested
the Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency to seek modification of
the Urban Renewal Plan for the Downtown Civic Center Urban Renewal Area, Pro-
ject No. Ky. R-30, and
WHEREAS, under date of April 5, 1967 the Regional Office of the Depart-
ment of Housing and Urban Development concurred in the modification of Parcel
1, Block 1, and
WHEREAS, the Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency by resolution
adopted on May 4, 1967 approved the modification of land use designating
Parcel 1, Block 1 as public parking, and
WHEREAS, the Paducah Planning Commission by motion on May 24, 1967 app-
roved the modification in the Urban Renewal Plan,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH
Section 1. That the Urban Renewal Plan, Land Use Plan and U.R.P. Map
No. 2 be modified to designate Parcel 1, Block 1 as public parking.
Section 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
