A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE URBAN RENEWAL AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
AGENCY TO ACT AS AGENT FOR THE CITY OF PADUCAH CONCENTRATED CODE ENFORCEMENT
PROGRAM, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PAY TO THE AGENT UP TO THE SUM
OF $5,000.00 FOR EXPENSES IN THE DEVELOPMENT AND PREPARATION OF AN
APPLICATION FOR THE PROGRAM
WHEREAS the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah desires to
effectuate a concentrated code enforcement program within specified areas
of the City of Paducah, and
WHEREAS the Board of Commissioners has heretofore appropriated the sum
of $20,000.00 for this work in the year 1967, and
WHEREAS the Board of Commissioners has requested the Urban Renewal and
Community Development Agency to act as its agent in developing the above
referred to program and in preparing an application for said program to be
submitted to the Department of Housing and Development, and
WHEREAS the said Urban Renewal Agency has performed some of the pre-
paratory work and is ready to perform the remaining work needed to submit an
application, and
WHEREAS certain costs have been and will be incurred in the development
of said program;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency
act as Agent for the City of Paducah in developing a concentrated code en-
forcement program and in preparing an application to the Department of
Housing and Urban Development for said program.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager of the City of Paducah be, and he
hereby is, authorized to pay any sums up to a total of $5,000.00 to '.the
Urban Renewal & Community Development Agency to reimburse said Agency for
its expenses and costs in developing the said program and in preparing the
application therefor.
SECTION 3. That the conditions as set forth in Section 1 and Section
2 above are contingent upon approval of same by the members of the Urban
Renewal & Community Development Agency of Paducah, Kentucky.
SECTION 4. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
