BIDS FOR FURNISHING THE CITY OF PADUCAH TUITH ITS REQUIREMENTS OF
REGULAR AND ETHYL GASOLINE, MOTOR OIL, DIESEL FUEL, CHASSIS LUBRI-
CANT, GEAR LUBE OIL, HYDRAULIC OIL, KEROSENE AND ANTI -FREEZE TO
BE USED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH FROM JULY 1, 1067 THROUr'H DECEMBER
31, 196"
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF CONhiISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That tre City P,ianager I -e, and he is hereby,
authorized to advertise for bids .for furnishi.npr the City of Faducah
with its requirements of remular and ethyl masoline, motor oil,
diesel fuel, chassis lubricant, near lube oil, hydraulic oil,
kerosene and anti -freeze for the period heminninm July 1, 19(_7, or
as soon thereafter as possible, and extendinm to and including
December 31, 1967, at the lowest cash price per unit, unit price to
include State Tax, 1-ut exclusive of Federal Tax, in accordance with
all terms and specifications listed herein.
Each bidder must guarantee and state the octane rating• con-
tained in the regular and ethyl gasoline he proposes to supply,
the octane rating of ethyl gasoline to he not less than 99, the
price to be listed as the prevailingp-, tank wamon prices, plus or
minus; motor oil. to he detergent heavv duty, premium (not to be a
fleet oil) and first mrade, and first mrade non -determent (require-
ments approximately 350 gallons of each per six month period);
Diesel, high deterrent motor oil (requirements approximately 250
mallons per six month period); diesel fuel to be No. 2 (require-
ments approximately 3,300 mallons per six month period); chassis
lubricant to be;:all-purpose (requirements approximately 150 pounds
per six month period); fear lube oil to he 11,0 and 90 weimht (re-
ouirements approximately 700 pounds per six month period); kerosene
(requirements approximately_!3,300 mallons per six month period);
anti -freeze to be permanent type (requirements approximately 150
mallons per six month period).
The requirements for regular gasoline will be approximately
32,000 mallons per six month period and for ethvl masoline approxi-
mately 30,000 gallons per six month period.
The successful bidder will he required to .furnish and install
four (4) electrically operated and metered masoline pumps, neces-
sary tanks and required concrete islands and will be required to
furnish one (1) electrically operated and metered fiesel pump and
undermround tank.
Bids shall provide a guarantee amainst ad,,ance in the bid
price and shall also muarantee a correspondinm reduction in price
in the event of a decrease in the market price of any of the items

hid on.
The bidder will so state in his hid that he agrees to rive
21 -hour emerffency tank truck service to any point in the City of
Paducah seven days per week.
In the event of a temporary tank waFon price less than normal,
the City will he charged the normal tank wagon price less the dis-
count or the temporary tank wavon price without the discount which-
ever results in a lower net price per Fallon of aasonine.
Each bidder shall hid upon each individual item, and all in-
complete bids will he resected. The lowest overall bid will be
accepted unless all bids are rejected.
SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for sealed bids
b,r posting a notice at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of
recuest for bids in the Sun Democrat, as provided for by law. All
bids shall be sealed and no hid shall be received after the hour fixed
in the notice for the opening of same. All bids received by the
Citv Manager up to the time fixed in the notice for the opening of
same shall be filed with the Poard of Commissioners who may let a
contract to the lowest and best overall bidder, and the Board of
Commissioners shall reserve the richt to reject any and all bids and
the City shall not become legally obligated to purchase said products
until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the execution of a
purchase contract.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
