ORDINANCE NO. 69-12-273
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF GORDON MEEKS TO PURCHASE THE
INTEREST OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH IN PROPERTY AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF
7TH STREET AND NORTHVIEW (TERRELL) STREET FOR THE SUM OF $150.00,
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the offer of Gordon Meeks in the amount of
$150.00 to purchase the interest of the City of Paducah in certain
property therein, be accepted, said property being described as follows:
Being at the northeast corner of 7th Street and Northview
(Terrell) Street fronting 55 feet on the east side of
Northview (Terrell) Street and running back eastwardly
with the north line of 7th Street 155 feet, as shown on
page 12 of Block Map Book 3 in the office of the City
Engineer, and being conveyed to Edgar T. Washburn by
deed of record in Deed Book 109, page 309 in the McCracken
County Court Clerk's office.
Being the same property conveyed to the City of Paducah, Kentucky
by Ben C. LeRoy, City Treasurer (Edgar T. Washburn property)
by deed dated December 12, 1969 and of record in Deed Book 515,
page 206 in the aforesaid Clerk's office.
SECTION 2. Upon payment of the sum of $150.00 to the City Treasurer,
the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to convey to
Gordon Meeks all right, title and interest of the City in the property
described in Section 1 hereof, and said deed of conveyance shall be
quitclaim only, shall contain no warranty as to title and shall be
subject to any state of facts that might be shown by an accurate survey.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
