AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF AN ALLEY IN THE BLOCK BOUNDED
BY JEFFERSON STREET, ELEVENTH STREET, MONROE STREET AND TENTH STREET
IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, does hereby
authorize the closing of a portion of an alley located in the block
bounded by Jefferson, Eleventh, Monroe and Tenth Streets in the City
of Paducah, Kentucky, and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the south line of the
existing alley in the block bounded by Jefferson,
Eleventh, Monroe and Tenth Streets as shown on the
plat of said property of record in the City Engineer's
office, said point being 262 feet east of the inter-
section of the east line of 11th Street and the south
line of said alley; thence continuing in an easterly
direction and along the line of said alley 182.95
feet to a point on the west right-of-way line of the
Chicago, St. Louis and N. O. R.R. Company property; thence
at an interior angle of 120 degrees 22 minutes and in
a northerly direction 30.61 feet to a point; thence at
an interior angle of 59 degrees 38 minutes and in a
westerly direction 198.48 feet to a point on the north
line of said alley; thence at a right angle and in a
southerly direction 26.5 feet to the point of beginning.
There shall be retained a permanent easement for a sewer line
with right of ingress and egress, said easement being 15 feet in width
and lying 7� feet on either side of the center line of the existing
sewer line as shown on a plat in the City Engineer's office.
SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, be, and he is hereby, authorized and empowered to institute,
pursuant to Section 94.360 of the Kentucky Revised Statutes, an action
in the McCracken Circuit Court for a judgment ordering the closing of
a portion of the alley described in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
