AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN LAND FROM
ROY J. PETTER AND HIS WIFE, HELEN E. PETTER, FIXING THE PURCHASE PRICE
OF SAME, AND PROVIDING THE TERMS AND PROVISIONS OF SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, purchase from
Roy J. Petter and his wife, Helen E. Petter, the following described )
land in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, to -wit:
Beginning at a point on the north property line of
Broad Street 524 feet west of the northwest corner
of the intersection of 6th Street and Broad Street;
thence in a northwesterly direction along the grantor's
southwesterly property line 709.5 feet to the line
dividing the property of the grantor and W. W. Hughes;
thence with said dividing line in a northeasterly
direction 133 feet more or less to the grantor's north-
easterly property line; thence in a southeasterly
direction along the grantor's northeasterly property
line a distance of 230 feet more or less; thence
at right angles in a southwesterly direction 71 feet;
thence at right angles and in a southeasterly direction,
a distance of 470 feet to the northerly property line
of Broad Street; thence with the northerly property
line of Broad Street in a southwesterly direction a
distance of 62 feet to the 13oint of beginning.
Also a revertable construction sloping easement upon a
strip of land 15 feet wide and 150 feet long adjoining
said property on its east side, which easement shall
revert to the parties of the first part upon the com-
pletion of a permanent street or highway upon said land
above described.
Being a part of the same land conveyed to Roy J. Petter
by deed dated May 12, 1937, and of record in Deed Book
194, page 107 in the McCracken County Court Clerk's office.
The purchase price to be paid shall be $20,000.00, which sum
shall be paid from Account No. 8093 after the required amount has been
first transferred from Account No. 7592, and as an additional con-
sideration the following concessions shall be granted and provided for
in any deed:
"It is a part of the consideration herein that the
parties of the first part are to have the use, possession
and rent from the two houses now on said property for a
period of six months from the date of this deed. In that
time the parties of the first part can remove or tear down
any of the outbuildings on the property, but the party of
the second part will have the use of the property up to
where the outbuildings are located.

As a further consideration the parties of the first part
shall retain possession of the house now located at 1935
Broad Street but agree to remove same not later than
ten (10) days after party of the second part moves the
other house, and both shall be moved over the new roadway,
when completed."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on
file for public inspection for at least one (1) week in the completed
form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted
shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
