ORDINANCE NO. 69-9-249
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING
COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY ATSTH AND TENNESSEE
STREETS, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1961 SO AS TO EFFECT
SUCH REZONING
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning
Commission on September 17, 1969, entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING
THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED
REZONING OF PROPERTY AT 5TH AND TENNESSEE STREETS", be approved as the
final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth.
SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and the map
amendment proposed in said resolution be, and the same are hereby declared
to be in agreement with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah.
SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property
be, and it is hereby, changed from R-3 Two -Family Residential Zone to
R-4 Multiple Dwelling Zone:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the center line of
Tennessee Street with the center line of South 5th Street;
thence in a southerly direction along and with the center line
of South 5th Street a distance of 153 feet to a point; thence
at right angles and in an easterly direction along and with the
dividing line between the Laborer's International Union, Local
No. 1214 and Sherman Evans a distance of 203.25 feet to a point
in the center line of a 25 foot alley; thence at right angles
and in a northerly direction along and with the center line of
said alley a distance of 153 feet to the intersection of the
center line of said alley with the center line of Tennessee
Street; thence at right angles and in a westerly direction
along and with the center line of Tennessee Street a distance
of 203.25 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this
ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for
any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or
provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision
hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each
and every section, paragrakh and provision hereof separable from all
other sections, paragraphs and provisions.

SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
