ORDINANCE NO. 69-8-247
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF CENTRAL PAVING COMPANY FOR
RESURFACING BUCKNER LAND FROM THE WEST LINE OF 32ND STREET TO THE EAST
LINE OF VINE STREET IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, INCLUDING THE RAISING AND
RESETTING OF MANHOLES, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON
WHICH SUCH CONTRACT SHALL BE MADE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, accept the bid
of Central Paving Company for resurfacing Buckner Lane from the west line
of 32nd Street to the east line of Vine Street in the City of Paducah,
including the raising and resetting of manholes, which bid was as follows:
Unit price on asphalt $6.00 per ton;,unit price on RS -1
Twenty Cents ($0.20) per gallon; and unit price on manhole
resetting $40.50 per manhole,
said bid having substantially the specifications set out in a resolution
adopted August 5, 1969, by the Board of Commissioners of the City,
authorizing advertisement for bids for such resurfacing, and contained
in the bid of Central Paving Company dated August 18, 1969.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to enter into a contract for the resurfacing of Buckner Lane as set out
in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file
for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in
which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in
full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
