ORDINANCE NO. 69-8-243
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF B. F. GOODRICH.VOR .. ..
FURNISHING THE CITY OF PADUCAH WITH ITS•REQUIREMENT OF NEW AUTOMOBILE
AND TRUCK TIRES FOR THE PERIOD OF TIME FROM AUGUST 1, 1969 TO JULY 31,
1970, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR
SUCH PURPOSE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, accept the bid.
of B. F. Goodr ich for furnishing the city with its requirement of
new automobile and truck tires for the period of time from August,l,.
1969 to July 31, 1970, under the following'terms and conditions-,
The tires so furnished shall be first line new tires manufactures
by the B. F. Goodrich Company with current manufacturer's treads and
the price for such tires shall be the net State price, less the following
discounts: 101% and 101%. The only tax which will apply is Sales Tax
when and where applicable.
The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for
the purchase of said tires under the terms and conditions of the bid
received and the resolution requesting the bids, which was adopted by
the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky on July 22,
1969.
SECTION 2. Nothing in this ordinance or the contract authorized
herein shall preclude the City of Paducah from purchasing used tires
or civil defense surplus tires from any source other than the B. F.
Goodrich Company.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced at a meeting of the
Board of Commissioners and remain on file for at least one (1) week
for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put
upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect
ten (10) days thereafter.
