ORDINANCE NO. 69-8-240
AN ORDINANCE REZONING PROPERTY ON TENNESSEE STREET BETWEEN 27th
AND 28TH STREETS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FROM R-2 RESIDENTIAL
ZONE TO A B-4 COMMERCIAL BUSINESS ZONE
WHEREAS, on August 20, 1969, the Paducah Planning Commission
held a hearing on the application for a zoning map change of the
hereinafter described property from an R-2 zone to a B-4 zone, and
WHEREAS, after due consideration the Planning Commission denied
the application and reported its findings, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah has
been asked to consider the application, override the Planning Commission
and approve the application, and
WHEREAS, the Board has reviewed the application and the evidence
and has otherwise been sufficiently advised, and
WHEREAS, the Board finds that there have been major changes of an
economic, physical or social nature within the area involved which were
not anticipated in the community's comprehensive plan and which have
substantially altered the basic character of the area, or that the
original zoning classification given to the property was improper, and
that for sometime prior to the zoning of this parcel it was and has
been used as commercial business property, and that a B-4 Commercial
Business Zone classification would be proper.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Paducah Zoning Ordinance -1961 be amended to
change the zoning map and zoning classification of the following
