A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A PUBLIC WORKS
PLAN PREPARATION CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
WITH THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
WHEREAS, the United States of America, Department of Housing
and Urban Development has approved a Public Works Plan Preparation
Grant in the amount of $24,000.00 to aid in financing the cost of
planning water facilities in and around the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, to be known as Project No. P-Ky-3124, and
WHEREAS, said grant will be to the Paducah Water Works, but
the contract is required to be with the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and
directed to execute a Public Works Plan Preparation Grant and Contract
on behalf of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, with the United States of
America, which plan and contract is to be known as Project No.
P-Ky-3124 for a planning study for water facilities in and around
Paducah, Kentucky, said grant to be in the amount of $24,000.00.
SECTION 2. The terms and conditions of the grant and contract
are hereby accepted by the City of Paducah, Kentucky.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
