ORDINANCE NO. 69-7-230
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING
COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF VARIOUS TRACTS LOCATED WITHIN THE
URBAN RENEWAL NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM, AREA I, AND AMENDING THE
PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1961 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING
BE IT ORDAINED BY,THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning
Commission on July 2, 1969, entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE
FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING
OF VARIOUS TRACTS LOCATED WITHIN THE URBAN RENEWAL NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT
PROGRAM, AREA I", be approved as the final report of said Commission
respecting the matters therein set forth.
SECTION 2. That the zone classification changes and the map
amendments proposed in said resolution be, and the same are hereby,
declared to be in agreement with the comprehensive plan of the City of
Paducah.
SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property
be, and it is hereby, changed as follows:
Rezoned from R-4 Multiple Dwelling Zone to R-3 Two -Family
Residential Zone:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the center line
of Ohio Street with the center line of 8th Street; thence in
a northerly direction along and with the center line of 8th
Street to the point of intersection of the center line of 8th
Street with the center line of a 16.5 foot alley lying between
Clark Street and Washington Street; thence at right angles and
in a westerly direction along and with the center line of said
16.5 foot alley to the point of intersection of the center line
of said alley, if extended, with the center line of 9th Street;
thence at right angles in a southerly direction along and with
the center line of 9th Street to the point of intersection of
the center line of 9th Street with the center line of Ohio Street;
thence at right angles and in an easterly direction along and
with the center line of Ohio Street to the point of beginning.
Rezoned from M-1 General Industrial Zone to R-3 Two -Family
Residential Zone:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the center line of
11th Street with the center line of Norton Street; thence in a
northerly direction along and with the center line of 11th
Street a distance of 222.2 feet to a point of intersection
of the center line of 11th Street with the center line of a
10 foot alley; thence at right angles in a westerly direction
along and with the center line of said alley to the point of
intersection of the center line of said alley, if extended,
with the center line of 12th Street; thence at right angles
and in a southerly direction along and with the center line of
12th Street a distance of 304.33 feet; thence at right angles
and in an easterly direction a distance of 203 feet, more or
less, to the center line of a 29 foot alley; thence at right
angles and in a northerly direction along and with the center
line of said alley to its intersection with the center line of
Norton Street; thence at right angles and in an easterly direction
along and with the center line of Norton Street to the point of
beginning.
Beginning at a point in the center line of 12th Street, said
point being the point of intersection of the center line of
12th Street with the center line of a 16 foot alley lying
between and running parallel with Jackson Street and Adams
Street; thence in a westerly direction along and with the
center line of said alley to the point of intersection of the
center line of said alley, if extended, with the center line
of 13th Street; thence at right angles and in a northerly
direction along and with the center line of 13th Street to the
point of intersection of the center line of 13th Street with
the center line of Adams Street; thence continuing with the
center line of 13th Street a distance of 220 feet, more or
less, to a point, same being the northwest corner of the
Urban Renewal Neighborhood Development Program, Area I;
thence in an easterly direction along and with the north
boundary line of said Urban Renewal Neighborhood Development
Program, Area I a distance of 374 feet, more or less, to the
point of intersection of said line with the center line of
Plunkett Street; thence in a southerly direction along and
with the center line of Plunkett Street to its intersection
with the center line of Adams Street; thence at right angles
and in an easterly direction along and with the center line
of Adams Street to its intersection with the center line of
12th Street; thence at right angles and in a southerly direction
along and with the center line of 12th Street to the point of
beginning.
Beginning at the point of intersection of the center line of
Jones Street with the center line of 9th Street; thence in an
easterly direction along and with the center line of Jones
Street a distance of 124.5 feet; thence at right angles and
in a northerly direction a distance of 208 feet, more or less,
to the center line of an alley lying between Jones Street and
Tennessee Street; thence at right angles in a westerly direction
along and with the center line of said alley to its intersection
with the center line of 9th Street; thence at right angles
and in a southerly direction along and with the center line of
9th Street to the point of beginning.
SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this
ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for
any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or
provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision
hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each
and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all
other sections, paragraphs and provisions.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
