AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF AN EASEMENT FROM
JAMES W. HOUSER"AND WIFE, ANNA C. HOUSER, FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND
MAINTENANCE OF A SEWER LINE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, purchase,
for the sum of $2,000.00 from the Sewer Construction Account, an
easement for the construction and maintenance of a sewer line
over and across certain lands of James W. Houser and wife, Anna C.
Houser, described as follows:
Being a strip of ground 10 feet to the right of and 10
feet to the left of a line, said line being the centerline
of a proposed 12 inch sanitary sewer and beginning at a
point 30 feet west of and along the southerly right-of-way
line of U. S. Highway 60, from the centerline of a concrete
culvert with a 40 foot drainage easement on the J. W. Houser
property; thence at right angles to the southerly right-of-
way line of U. S. Highway .60 and in a southerly direction,
a distance of 4.0 feet to a point; thence with a deflection
angle of 22 degrees 07 minutes to the left, a distance of
155.90 feet to a point; thence with a deflection angle of
15 degrees L8 minutes to the right, a distance of 626.93
feet to a point; thence with a deflection angle of 10 degrees
20 minutes to the right, a distance of 259.50 feet to a
point; thence with a deflection angle of 19 degrees 30
minutes to the right, a distance of.157.15 feet to a point,
said point being in the northerly right-of-way line of the
P & I R.R.
There is excepted from this easement a small parcel of
ground on which there exists a Kentucky Department of
Highway drainage easement south of the southerly right-
of-way line of U. S. Highway 60 at the above mentioned
concrete culvert..
Also a temporary construction easement being a strip of
ground 10 feet wide and lying west of and parallel to the
above described easement, for a period of only 15 months.
.SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on
file for.at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed
form in which it shall be put upon its.final passage, but it being
necessary for the public health and safety that such sewer be con-
structed as soon as possible, an emergency is hereby declared to
exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
