AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CON-
TRACT WITH SUNRAY DX OIL COMPANY FOR THE PURCHASE OF ALL REGULAR AND
ETHYL GASOLINE, MOTOR OIL, DIESEL FUEL, CHASSIS LUBRICANT, GEAR LUBE
OIL, HYDRAULIC OIL, KEROSENE AND ANTI -FREEZE FOR USE BY THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR THE PERIOD OF TIME FROM JULY 1, 1966 TO
DECEMBER 31, 1966, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH
SUCH PURCHASES SHALL BE MADE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authori-
zed to enter into a contract, on behalf of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, with Sunray DX Oil Company for purchase of the following
supplies for use by the City from July 1, 1966 to December 31, 1966:
Regular gasoline, octane rating 9L, tank wagon price per
gallon $0.244, discount $0.054 per gallon.
Ethyl gasoline, octane rating 100, tank wagon price per
gallon $0.279, discount $0.0715 per gallon.
Motor Oil, Best Premium Grade, Detergent H -D (not to be a fleet
oil) $0.61 per gallon. First Grade, Detergent H -D $0.63 per gallon.
First Grade, Non -detergent $0.51 per gallon. Diesel, High Detergent
$0.61 per gallon.
Hydraulic Oil $O.L5 per gallon.
Diesel Fuel, No. 2, Tank wagon price per gallon $0.163, discount
$0.056 per gallon.
Chassis Lubricant, all purpose, in 100-120 lb. drums, $0.215
per pound, discount $0.06 per pound.
Gear Lube Oil, weight 140 and 90, in 100-120 pound druns, $0.13
per pound, discount $0.02 per pound.
Kerosene $0.173 per gallon, discount $0.083 per gallon.
Anti -freeze, permanent type, in gallon cans, $1.00 per gallon.
All products furnished to the City will be paid for on or about
the 15th day of the month followin.a. purchase. The City shall not be
required to make a deposit on drums but all drums will be returned
The Company will furnish and install four (4) electrically operated
and metered gasoline pumps, necessary tanks and concrete islandsvi
and will furnish one (1) electrically operated and metered diesel pump
and underground tank.
All prices quoted herein shall be guaranteed against advance in
the market price, and the Company is to guarantee a corresponding
reduction in price in the event of a decrease in price. However, in
the event of a temporary or sub-mornal consumer price upon gasoline is

put into effect and such price us lower than the established price
with discount, the lower price will apply.
In the event of fire or other emergency, the Company shall
p_ive twenty-four (24) hour emera_ency tank truck service to any point
in the City, seven (7) days per week.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced at a meeting
of the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for at least one (1)
week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall bw
put upon its final passaee, and shall be in full force and effect ten
(10) days thereafter.
