AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY, BY ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY OF JAMES E. GRAY, IMA GRAY AND
THELMA HOLLIDAY LYING ADJACENT TO THE NORTHWEST CORPORATE LIMITS OF
SAID CITY, AND DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF SAID PROPERTY
TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN SAID CORPORATE LIMITS
WHEREAS under an ordinance adopted February 22, 1966, the City
of Paducah, Kentucky, by and through its board of Commissioners,
proposed to extend the boundary of the city by annexing certain
property of Names E. Bray, Ima Gray and Thelma Holliday lying adjacent
to the northwest corporate limits of the City, which property is
hereinafter more particularly described, and
WHEREAS said ordinance proposing such annexation and declaring
the desirability of same, has been published in the Sun -Democrat,
a newspaper published and distribbted in the City of Paducah, Kentucky
as provided and required by KRS 424.130(1) (b), and
WHEREAS a period of more than thirty days has elapsed since
the enactment of the aforesaid ordinance, and
WHEREAS no petition or complaint has been filed in the McCracken
Circuit Court protesting such extension of the corporate limits.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the hereinafter described property of James E.
Gray, Ima Gray and Thelma Holliday be annexed to the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, the same being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the present city limit
boundary at the intersection of the north line of
Buckner Lane Road with the west line of Pines Road;
thence at right angles to the north line of Buckner
Lane Road and in a southerly direction 245 feet,
more or less with the present city limit boundary
line to a point where the same intersects the south
line of Lot 3 in Block A of J. E. Gray's Subdivision,
a plat of which is of record in Plat Book G, page 40
in the McCracken County Court Clerk's Office; thence
leaving the present city limit boundary line and
westwardly with said south line of said Lot 3, 58 feet,
more or less, to the east line of Pines Road as extended,
said point being the common corner between said Lot 3
and Lot 4 in said subdivision; thence southwardly and
followinP the west line of said Lot 4, 195 feet, more or
less to a point on the north line of Exall Road where
same is intersected by the east line of Pines Road as
extended; thence westwardly across said Pines Road as
extended, and following the north line of the said
Exall Road 314.23 feet to a point on the north line of
Exall Road, common corner between the lands of Holliday
and Winkle; thence approximately North 30' East and with
the boundary line of Holliday and Winkle 1$3 feet, more
or less to another common corner between said parties;
thence approximately North 76° west and with another
common line between Holliday and Winkle 100 feet, more or
less to the west line of the land conveyed on June 15, 1954
by Joe C. Holliday to Thelma Holliday by deed of record
in Deed Book 367, Pape 285 in the aforesaid Clerk's office;
thence approximately North 300 east and with the west line
of said Holliday land 245 feet, more or less, to a point on
the south line of Buckner Lane Road; thence northwardly and

at right angles to said south line of Buckner Lane Road
LO feet to a point on the north line of said road; thence
in an eastwardly direction and with the north line of
Buckner Lane Road 337 feet, more or less, to the point of
beginning.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and.after its adoption.
