AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF CERTAIN LAND
OWNED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, TO THE URBAN RENEWAL AND
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
WHEREAS, on October 28, 1965, the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
entered into an Agreement with the Urban Renewal and Community
Development Agency of Paducah, Kentucky, in connection with Project
No. Ky. R-30, and
WHEREAS in Section 3 of said Agreement it was provided "the
City will convey Block 1, Parcel 3 (Old City Hall and No. 1 Fire
Station), and Block 1, Parcel 10 (Police Change Building and Parking
Lot), and improvements thereon to the Agency for their fair cash
ii value which is currently estimated at $171,000.00. Said sum will be
deposited by the Agency in the Urban Renewal and Community_Development
Agency Local Contrmbution Account and the City hereby authorizes the
Agency,to transfer from this account to the appropriate accounts of
Project No. Ky. R-30 sums sufficient to meet the City's obligations
as set out in Section 111, and
WHEREAS the City is ready to convey and the Agency is ready
to accept all the above mentioned properties except No. 1 Fire Station
and the parcel of land on which it is located, and
WHEREAS according to figures approved by the Department of
Housing and Urban Development (formerly Housing and Home Finance Agency)
under date of March 10, 1966, the fair market value of the properties
authorized to be conveyed by this ordinance is $98,000.00, and the
fair market value of the parcel occupied by Fire Station No. 1 and
improvements thereon is $73,000.00.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah convey to Urban Renewal
and Community Development Agency of Paducah, Kentucky, and the Mayor
and City Clerk are hereby directed and authorized to execute a deed
of conveyance to said Agency conveying the,following land owned by
the City of Paducah, Kentucky:
Tract No. 1
Being in Block #15 Old Town of Paducah, beginning at the
corner of Oak Street and Court Street; thence with Court St.
toward the river 20 feet; thence at right angles toward
Washington Street 100 feet; thence at right angles 20 feet
to Oak Street; thence with Oak Street 100 feet to the place
of beginning.
Being the same property conveyed to the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
by Howell Gano and his wife, Rebecca R. Gano; William G. Coffin
and wife, Hannah M. Coffin; F. H. and Anna R. Lawson; Fenton
Lawson; Christopher T. and Mary I Adams; and Jacob W. Gano,
by deed dated August 9, 1881, recorded in Deed Book 28, page
212, in the McCracken County Court Clerk's Office.

Tract No. 2
T—P-a-rc-e-177T land beginning at the point of Court Street 20 feet
East of Oak Street and running thence at right angles on Court
Street 80 feet; thence at right angles toward Washington Street
100 feet to an alley; thence at right angles with said alley
toward Oak Street 80 feet; thence at right angles toward Court
Street 100 feet to the beginning, and being in Block No. 15,
Town "A".
Being the same property conveyed to the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
by C. A. Thornberry, by deed dated July 22, 1881, and recorded in
Deed Boom 28, page 193, in the McCracken County Court Clerk's
Office.
Tract No. 3
Lot Tho. 130, in Block No. 15, Town "A"; said lot fronting
57-3/L feet on Third Street and runs back an equal width for
a distance of 173-1/6. feet toward 4th Street.
Being the same property conveyed to the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, by W. F. Paxton and F. M. Fisher, by deed dated
December 10, 1910, and recorded in Deed Book 93, page 360,
in the McCracken County Court Clerk's Office.
Tract No. 4.
Being Lot No. 131, Block 15, Original Town Addition; being
on the west side of 3rd Street between Kentucky Avenue and
Washington Street, beginning on the west side of South 3rd
Street 57 feet 9 inches south of the southwest corner of 3rd
and Kentucky Avenue; said lot is 57 feet 9 inches by 173 feet
3 inches.
Being a part of the property conveyed to the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, by Woodrow Hook, et ux, and Harry Mathis, et ux,
by deed dated November 23, 1960, recorded in Deed Book 420,
page 264, in the McCracken County Court Clerk's Office.
Said deed of conveyance shall include only such warranty or
warranties as may be permitted by law, and shall be subject to
anv state of facts that might be shown by an accurate survey.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
