A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND RESUECTINC THE CITY MANAGER TO
ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, OF
ONE (1) NEW TRACTOR FOR USE BY THE PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT,
AND PRESCRIBING THE CONDITIONS UPON WHICH PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE
BE I^1 RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
and requested to advertise for bids for one (1) new Tractor to be used
by the Parks and Recreation Department, having the following specifications
Gas Driven Engine having approximately 30 H.P.
Power take off (standard)
Hydraulic lift, with capacity to life 600 to 1,000 pounds
Four -speed transmission
Four ply tires, front 650 x 15, and rear No. 102E
Low center of eravity having an approximate turn over angle of
65 degrees
Each bidder shall state the amount he will accept in cash for
such tractor, and will also state the amount he will allow as trade-in
against the purchase price for one (1) 1951 Model No. 8-N Tractor.
Each bidder shall fully describe the equipment he offers for
sale, and furnish information as to all applicable ;guarantees, and shall
state the approximate length of time required for delivery after the
execution of a purchase contract. All prices quoted shall include or
refer to any and all applicable taxes.
SECTION 2. The City Manager shalladvertise for sealed bids
by posting a notice at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of
the request for bids in the Sun -Democrat to be published not less
than seven (7) days nor more than twenty-one (21) days before
the date fixed for the opening of bids. All bids shall be sealed
and no bid shall be received after the hour fixed in the notice for
the openinP of same. All bids received by the City Manager up to
the time fixed in the notice for the opening of same shall be filed
with the Board of Commissioners who may let a contract to the lowest
and best bidder, and said Board reserves the right to reject any and
all bids and the City shall not become legally oblivated to any bidder
until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the execution of a
purchase contract.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
