CIVIL SERVICE ORDINANCE", WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
ON DECEMBER 2, 1947, AND AMENDED ON JANUARY 22, 1963
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 7 of the "Appointive Employees" Civil
Service Ordinance", which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on
December 2, 1947, and amended on January 22, 1963, be, and the same is
hereby amended and reordained so that said section as amended and
reordained shall read as follows:
"SECTION 7. There is hereby created and authorized the following
positions in the Department of Finance, and the salary of each position,
provided the amount of such salary is not changed under any apportionment
ordinance hereafter adopted shall be as follows:

(To be known also as City Treasurer
Assistant Treasurer
Auditor
Bookkeeping Machine Operator
(formerly Bookkeeper)
Senior Clerk (2 positions)
(formerly Deputy Treasurer)
Clerk -Stenographer
Machine Operator
Clerk -typist No. 1 (1 position)
Salary Per Month
$525.00

Clerk -typist No. 2 (1 position) 240.00
License Inspector 335.00
The Clerk -typist No. 2 shall be paid at the rate of $210.00
per month for the first six months; and at the expiration of six months
$220.00 per month; and at the expiration of another six months $230.00
per month; and at the expiration of another six months $240.00 per month;
such increases to be made upon recommendation of the City Manager".
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption and shall be retroactive to June 1, 1963.
