HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 15, Page 794, No Ordinance Numberr - AN ORDTN'NCE AMENDINO SECTION 25 OF THE "APPOINTIVE EMPLOYEES' Cl'iIi SER710E ORDINANCE", 'WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIGN- ERS.Cil DECEMBER 2, 1947 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 25 of the "Appointive Employees' Civil Service Ordinance", which was adopted on December 2, 1947, be, and the same is herehv, amended so that said section as amended shall read as follows: "SECTION 25. The pensions or benefits to be paid for disability or death from the appointive employees' pension fund shall be as follows: (a) If any member shall, from any cause become temporarily totally disabled, either physically or mentally, while in the employ- ment of the city, the Board of Trustees of the pension fund may order paid to him monthly during his disability, but not longer than one year, the sum of 4A� of his monthly salary at such time. This precision shall not apply if a salary is paid during the same period. Such temporary benefit shall cease if the Board of Trustees on the h.asis of competent medical advice finds that the emplovee has 'reen restored to mental or physical health so that he or she is capable of being rfainfully employed on a full time basis.
