HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 15, Page 79, No Ordinance NumberAN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9 OF THE "APPOINTIVE EMPLOYEES' CIVIL SERVICE ORDINANCE", WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON DECEMBER 2, 1947, AND AMENDED ON MARCH 1, 1963 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: 79 A-- SECTION 1. That Section 9 of the "Appointive Employees' Civil Service Ordinance", which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on December 2, 1947, and amended on March 1, 1963, II I be, and the same is hereby amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall read as follows: AA/, 3 -on -9 "SECTION 9. There is hereby authorized and created the following h positions not assigned to any department of the City of Paducah, but directly under the supervision of the City Manager, and the i salary of each position, provided the amount of such salary is i not changed under any apportionment ordinance hereafter adopted shall be as follows: Position Monthly Salary City Clerk $350.00 Secretary to City Manager and Mayor 275.00 i Social Worker 210.00 Maintenance I Chief of Maintenance Division 390.00 Maintenance Man (1 position) 275.00 Maintenance Helper (1 position) 260.00 j Inspections li Building & Electrical Inspector 450.00 Clerk -typist 260.00 The Secretary to the Mayor and City Manager shall be paid at the rate of 250.00 per month for the first six months of employment; $260.00 per month for the next twelve months of employment and $275.00 per month thereafter. Such increases to be made upon recommendation of the City Manager. The Building & Electrical Inspector shall perform the duties formerly performed by the Building Inspector and the Electrical Inspector, and said Building & Electrical Inspector shall be under the direct supervision of the City Manager." SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption, and shall be retro ,tive to Junee� 1, 1963.
