AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
CONTRACT WITH SUNRAY OIL COMPANY FOR THE PURCHASE OF ALL REGULAR
AND ETHYL GASOLINE, MOTOR OIL, DIESEL FUEL, CHASSIS LUBRICANT, GEAR
LUBE OIL, HYDRAULIC OIL, KEROSENE AND ANTI -FREEZE FOR USE BY THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR THE PERIOD OF TINE FROM JANUARY 1, 1966 TO
JUNE 30, 1966, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON 'wHICP.
SUCH PURCHASES SHALL BE MADE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authori-
zed to enter into a contract, on behalf of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, with Sunray DX Oil Company for purchase of the following
supplies for use by the City from January 1, 1966 to June 30, 1966:
Regular gasoline, octane rating 93.7, tank wagon price per
Fallon x'O.24.6., discount $0.0576 per gallon.
Ethyl gasoline, octane rating 99.7, tank wagon price per
Fallon $0.279, discount :,O.077 per gallon.
Motor Oil, Best. Premium Grade, Detergent H -D (not to be a fleet
oil) $0..9 per gallon. First Grade, Detergent H -D $0.59 per gallon.
First Grade, Non -deterrent $0.57 per gallon. Diesel, High Detergent
$0.56 per gallon.
Hydraulic Oil $0.L5 per gallon.
Diesel Fuel, No. 2, Tank wagon price per Fallon $0.16, discount
$0.056 per gallon.
Chassis Lubricant, all purpose, in 100-120 lb. drums, $0.165
per pound, discount $0.02 per pound.
Gear Lube Oil, weight 140 and 90, in 100-120 pound drums, $0.13
per pound, discount $0.02 per pound.
Kerosene $0.169 per gallon, discount $0.079 per Fallon.
Anti -.freeze, permanent type, in gallon cans, $1.65 per gallon,
discount $0.70 per gallon.
All products furnished to the City will be paid for on or about
the 15th day of the month following purchase. The City shall not be
required to make a deposit on drums but all drums will be returned
by the City.
The Company will furnish and install four (4) electrically
operated and metered gasoline pumps, necessary tanks and concrete
islands, and will furnish one (1) electrically operated and metered
diesel pump and underground tank.

All prices quoted herein shall be guaranteed against advance
in the market price, and the Company is to guarantee a corresponding
reduction in price in the event of a decrease in price. However,
in the event a temporary or sub -normal consumer price upon gasoline
is put into effect and such price is lower than the established price
with discount, the lower price will apply.
In the event of fire or other emergency, the Company shall
give twenty-four (21;) hour emergency tank truck service to any point
in the City, seven (7) days per week.
SECTIOIQ 2. This ordinance shall be introduced at a meeting of
the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for at least one (1)
week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be
put upon its final passage, and shall be in full force and effect
ten (10) days thereafter.
