AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED:
'AN ORDINANCE CREATING AND ESTABLISHING A PARKS AND RECREATION
)EPARTMENT FOR THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, CREATING POSITIONS
.'HEREIN AND FIXING SALARIES THEREOF" WHICH 'WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD
)F COMMISSIONERS ON DECEMBER 8, 1964,.AND AMENDED ON APRIL 27, 1965
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
'ADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 2 of an ordinance containing the title
uoted above, which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on
ecember 8, 1964 and amended on April 27, 1965, be, and the same is
ereby amended so that said -section as amended shall read as follows:
"SECTION 2. That in order to perform the duties of said
department, there is hereby created the following positions of
employment at the rate of pay specified:
Position Monthly Rate
Director $620.00
Foreman 3$0.00
Recreation Supervisor 410.00
Chief Clerk 315.00
Secretary 2$5.00
General Supervisors 275.00
Girls & [!omen's Supervisors 300.00
Recreation Center Supervisors 285.00
Park Policemen 240.00
The following positions are hereby created and established
under all laws, rules and provisions Foverninp- civil service.
Hourly Rate
Shop Mechanic (1 position) $1.95
Maintenance Men (2 positions) 1.75
Laborers (7 positions) 1.55
No person now employed in any of the above set out three (3)
civil service positions shall be placed under civil service until he
has successfully completed a proper examination .for same and has been
so placed by motion of the Board of Commissioners.
Upon recommendation of the Director, the Board of Commissioners
may, by motion, employ seasonal and temporary employees to be paid
at comparable rates based upon the position and responsibility
involved, such compensation to be fixed by the motion authorizing
the employment."

SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in .full force and effect
from and after December 1, 1965.
