A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR
BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN VITRIFIED CLAY PIPE AND FITTINGS
FOR USE IN SEWER CONSTRUCTION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized and directed to advertise for bids for the sale to the City
of certain vitrified clay pipe and fittings as follows:

The pipe and fittings shall meet ASTM specifications C200 -64T for
extra strength unglazed clay pipe and have factory fabricated plastic
.joints ASTM designation CL25 Type II. All pipe shall be tested in
accordance with ASTM specifications C301 by an approved testing laboratory
and shall be delivered F.O.B. ,job site in truck lot as requested by City.
All bids musti-iibe made by unit prices with the above amount
as'approximate needs.
Each bidder must include in his bid all applicable taxes,
including but not limited to Kentucky Sales Tax.
SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for sealed bids by
Posting a notice at the City Hall door and by,inserting notice of the
request for bids in the gun Democrat to be published not less than seven
days nor nore than twenty-one days before the date fixed for the opening
of bids. All bids shall be.sealed_and no _bid -shall be received after
the hour fixed for the opening of same. All bids received by the City
Manaper up to the time fixed in the notice for the opening of same shall
be filed with the Board of Commissioners whoo may let a contract to
the lowest and best bidder, and the Board of,Commissioners shall reserve
the right to reject any and all bids and the City shall not -become
legally obligated to. any bidder until the adoption of an ordinance
authorizing the execution of a purchase contract.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption,
