A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, CONCURRING IN THE ACTION OF THE COMMISSIONERS OF
:NATER WORKS, PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, IPJ ADOPTING A MOTION ON DECEMBER 31,
1962 AWARDING TO MILLSTONE CONSTRUCTION, INC. A CONTRACT FOR THE
REHABILITATION OF SIX OBSOLETE WATER FILTERS, AND THE ACTION OF
SAID CO10IISSIONERS OF WATER WORKS ON APRIL 29, 1963 IN AMENDING SAID
MOTION
BE IT RESOLVED TO THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Commissioners of the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, concur in the action of the Commissioners of Water
Yorks, Paducah, Kentucky, in adopting a motion on December 31, 1962
in words and figures as follows:
"A report prepared by Alvord, Burdick and Howson
engineers, covering bids opened December 13, 1962,
for the rehabilitation of six obsolete filters,
together with the eneineers recommendation for the
award of a contract to the low bidder, Millstone
Construction, Inc., Centralia, Illinois, was rece-
ived and filed. A motion was made by Commissioner
Marshall and seconded by Commissioner Morrow that
the recommendations of Alvord, Burdick and Howson
be approved subject to the concurrence of the
Housing and Home Finance Agency, and that the
contract for rehabilitation of the six obsolete filters
be awarded to the low bidder, Millstone Construction,
Inc. Upon receipt of approval of allotment of Federal
grant of funds for 50% of the cost of the project."
Also that said Board of Commissioners concur in the action of
said Commissioners of 'Dater Works in adopting an amendment to said
motion on April 29, 1963, in words and figures as follows:
"A report prepared by Alvord, Burdick and Howson,
engineers, covering bids opened December 13, 1962,
for the rehabilitation of six obsolete filters,
together with the engineers recommendation for the
award of a contract to the low bidder, Millstone
Construction, Inc. Centralia, Illinois, was rece-
ived and filed. A Motion was made by Commissioner
Marshall and seconded by Commissioner Morrow that
the recommendation of Alvord, Burdick and Howson
be approved subject to the concurrence of the
Housing and Home Finance Agency, and that the
contract for rehabilitation of the six obsolete
filters be awarded to the low bidder, Millstone
Construction, Inc., and that, pursuant to the letter
of Millstone Construction, Inc., dated February 19,
1963, Builders Iron Foundry equipment be installed
at the price of $175,000.00, upon receipt of
approval of allotment of Federal grant of funds for
507o of the cost of the project."
SECTION 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
