"AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE NUMBER, RANKS AND MONTHLY SALARIES OF
THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH",
WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON DECEMBER 11, 1951,
AND AMENDED ON APRIL 27, 1966
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 1 of an ordinance containing the title
quoted above, which was adopted on December 11, 1951, and amended on
April 27,.1965, be, and the same is hereby amended and reordained so
that said..section as amended and reordainedshall read as follows:
"SECTION 1. The number and rank .of the. members of the Fire De-
partment of.the City.of Paducah and their monthly salaries, provided
said salaries are not changed by any annual apportionment ordinance
hereafter adopted shall be as follows:

Fire Chief 1 $545.00
Assistant Chief.

Fire. Prevention Inspector 2 According to Rank

Engineers 18 360.00
Fire Alarm Operator
(Same Rank as Firemen 1 375.00
Firemen 4.1 345.00
Provided, however, that any fireman hereafter appointed, during his
first year of service shall receive a salary of $325,00 per month abd
upon completion of a year of satisfactory service as determined by the
City Manaper on recommendation of the Fire Chief, his monthly salary
shall be increased to $330,00 for the second year of service, and upon
completion of the second year of satisfactory service as determined by
the City Manager on recommendation of the Fire Chief, his monthly salary
shall be increased to the sum of $345.00!"
SECTION 2, All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are, to the extent of subh conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION This ordinance shall he in full force and effect from
and after its adoption and shall be retroactive to May 1, 1965.
