A RESOLUTION REQUESTING, THE CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR TWO
(2) NEW 196, TRACTORS FOR USE IN THE PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT OF THE
CITY, AND PRESCRIBING THE TER74S AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PURCHASE
SHALL BE MADE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Clerk he, and she is hereby,
authorized and directed to advertise for bids for the purchase of
two (2) new 196`, tractors for use in the Parks and Recreation Department
ha»ing the following specifications:
Gasoline driven engine having approximately 30 horsepower;
Power take -off
F�,draulic lift, having capacity to life 600 to 1000 pounds
Four -speed transmission
1 -ply mudgrip tires No. 610-15 on front and No. 1028 on rear
Each bidder shall state the amount he will accept in cash for
the purchase of the equipment he offers for sale, and also the amount
of such purchase price to be allowed by accepting as trade-in one (1)
1918 Ford tractor Model R -td and one (1) 1951 Ford tractor Model 8-N now
in use'ly the Parks and Recreation Department.
All bidders must include all applicable taxes, including but
not limited to Kentucky Sales Tax.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall advertise for sealed bids by
posting a notice at the City Hall door and by inserting, notice of the
request for bids in the Sun -Democrat to be published not less than seven
days nor more than twenty-one days before the date fixed for the opening of
same. All bids shall be sealed and no bid shall be received after the
hour Fixed in the notice .for the opening of same. All bids received
ry the City Clerk up to the time fixed in the notice for the opening of
same shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let a
contract to the lowest and best bidder, and the Board of Commissioners
shall 'reserve the richt to refect any and all bids and the City shall
not become legally oblipated to any bidder until the adoption of an
ordinance authorizing the execution of a purchase contract.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in .full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
