ENGINEERING COMPANY AS TO SANITARY SEWERS AND THE RELIEF OF OVERLOADED COMBINED
SEWERS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH AS THE LONG RANGE SEWER PROGRAM OF SAID CITY
WHEREAS, on December 8, 1964, and February 9, 1965, the Board of
Commissioners of theCity of Paducah, Kentucky, by Resolution authorized
and requested Burns & McDonnell Engineering Company of Kansas City,Missouri,
to make an investieation and report findings and recommendations in
connection with the sewer situation in said City as to sanitary sewers and th
relief of overloaded combined sewers, and
WHEREAS, under date o.fFebruary 17, 1965, the said Burns &
McDonnell EngineerinF,Company submitted its such report to the City,
said report beinP accompanied by,tables and,plats, and
WHEREAS, said Board of Commissioners has studied and analyzed
said report and.has reached the conclusion that it sets out an
adequate program of sewer improvements to be initiated by the City,
and
WHEREAS, it is the intent and desire of said Board of
Commissioners to adopt such report as its Sewer Improvement Program.
NODI THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF•COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Commissioners of the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, for and onbehalf of said City, does hereby adopt
the report made on February 17, 196 by Burns & McDonnell Engineering
Company of Kansas City, Missouri, as to sanitary sewers and the relief
of overloaded combined sewers in said City as the official long range
sewer program of said City.
SECTION 2. The said Board of Commissioners does hereby pledge
itself to do all within its power to initiate said program immediately
and carry the same to its conclusion.
SECTION 3. The Clerk of the City of Paducah shall forward
certified copies of this Resolution to the Kentucky Water Pollution
Contral Commission and the Department of Health of the State of Kentucky.
SECTION 4. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
