A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS
FOR THE PURCHASE OF FILING EQUIPMENT AND FURNITURE FOR USE BY THE
RECORDS AND IDENTIFICATION OFFICE OF THE PADUCAH POLICE DEPARTMENT,
AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PURCHASE
SHALL BE MADE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OE THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, authorized
and requested to advertise for bids for the purchase of filing
equipment and furniture for use by the Record and Identification
Office of the Paducah Police Department, having the specifications
as follows:
One - 12 drawer file, with lock, for 5x3 cards (traffic) Two compartment
Two - q drawer files, with lock, for 6r,4 cards (arrests) Two Companyment
One - � drawer file, with lock, for $x5 cards (accidents) Two compartment
Two - s drawer files $x$ double compartment with
lock if possible (fingerprints)
(If these are single compartment; three
(3) will be needed)
Three - L drawer files with lock, 9x12
compartment, single compartment (mug files)
Two desk chairs - with arm rests - adiustable
One matching* leg chair
All equipment is to be of beige color except the chair coverings,
which is to be green or dark brown.
Each bidder shall furnish with his bid full and complete
description and specifications of the products he bids upon, and the
approximate length of time required to make delivery.
SECTION 2. The Cite Clerk shall advertise for sealed bids by
posting a notice at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of
the request for bids in the Sun Democrat to be published not less
than seven (7) da�rs nor more than twenty-one (21) days before the
date fixed for the opening of bids. All bids shall be sealed
and no hid shall be received after the hour fixed in the notice
for the openinr of same. All bids received by the City Clerk up
to the time fixed in the notice for the opening of same shall be
filed with the Roard of Commissioners who may let a contract to
tl-e lowest and hest bidder, and the Board of Commissioners shall
reserve the ri-ht to refect anv and all bids and the City shall
not },ecome legally ol,li,ated un til the adoption of an ordinance
authorizinr the execution of a purchase contract.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall he in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
