A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE ENGINEERING FIRM'! OF BURNS AND
Mc DONNELL TO SUBMIT TWO SUPPLEI.4ENTAL REPORTS IN CONNECTION WITH
THE SEWER SITUATION IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
WHEREAS, Burns &. McDonnell Enrineerinp Company is now making
certain supplementary studies for the City on various aspects of the
sewer situation in Paducah, and
:1HEREAS, Burns & McDonnell Enaineerinr Company has not been Riven
official instructions by the City on the exact scope and purpose of
these supplementary instructions since the Commission's action on
December 8, 1961., and
WHEREAS, it is incumbent upon the City Commission to Five its
consulting* engineers clear instructions on the purpose of any studies
if unnecessary expense is to be avoided:
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMIMISSIONERS OF
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. A. Burns & McDonnell is requested to submit two supple-
mentary reports in answer to the following two questions:
1. What specific sanitary extensions do you consider economically
feasible for construction at the present stare of development of the
city? What is the estimated cost of each and what tap -on fee would be
required to make each proiect substantially self-liouidatinF in a
reasonable length of time?
2. What proiects for the relief of overloaded combined sewers do
you now recommend for present construction in addition to the elevan
recommended in the 1961 Master Plan because of chan7es in Paducah?
What is the estimated cost of each?
B. Burns &. McDonnell Enrineerin7 Company is herebv informed that
its reports should be based on its own professional .iudRments of enRineer-
inp and economic feasibilitv in harmony with the standards of its
Plaster Plan of 1961.
C. Burns & McDonnell is rerebv informed that no .recommendations
are desired at this time on methods of financineā¢.
SECTION 2. ThisResolution shall he in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
