HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 15, Page 451, No Ordinance Number451 j AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CON- TRACT WITH SUNRAY DX OIL COMPANY FOR THE PURCHASE OF ALL MOTOR OIL, DIESEL FUEL, CHASSIS LUBRICANT, GEAR LUBE OIL, HYDRAULIC OIL, KEROSENE AND ANTI -FREEZE FOR USE BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR THE PERIOD OF TIME FROM UANUARY 1, 1965 TO JUNE 30, 1965, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SAID PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby author- ized to enter into a contract, on behalf of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, with Sunray DX Oil Company for the purchase of the following supplies for use by the City from January 1, 1965 to June 30, 1965; Motor Oil in 55 -gallon drums as follows: DX Motor Oil, best premium grade, detergent HD (not to be a fleet oil) .57 cents per gallon; first grade, detergent HD .4.5 cents per gallon; first grade non -detergent .55 cents per gallon; Diesel, high detergent .45 cents per Ballon; hydraulic oil .51 cents per gallon; diesel fuel No. 2, .155 cents per gallon, discount .0473; DX all pur- pose Chassis Lubricant in 100 - 120 pound drums, .165 cents per pound, discount .015 per pound. DX Brite gear lube oil, weight 140 and 90 in 100 - 120 pound drums .13 cents per pound, discount .015 per pound. Kerosene .164 per gallon, discount .0535 per gallon. Anti -freeze, permanent type in gallon cans, $1.29 per gallon. All products furnished to the City will be paid for on or about the 10th day of the month following purchase, and the City is to have a one percent cash discount in ten days on motor oil and grease but no discount on anti -freeze, and the City shall not be required to make a deposit on drums but all drums are to be returned by the City. The Compsny will furnish one (1) electrically operated and metered diesel pump and underground tank. All prices quoted above shall be guaranteed against advance in the market price, and the Company, except as otherwise provided herein, is to guarantee a corresponding reduction in price in the event of a decrease of any of the above items. In the event of fire or other emergency, the Company shall agree to give twenty-four hour emergency tank truck service to any point in the City seven days per week. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced at a meeting of the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for at least one (1) 452 week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passare, and shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days after its adoption.
