A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE TIMETABLE OF THE PROPOSED SEWER
IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FOR THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AS PREPARED
AND SUBMITTED ON DECEMBER 16, 1961BY BURNS AND McDONNELL, CONSULTING
ENGINEERS OF KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI
WHEREAS the City of Paducah, Kentucky and the Officials thereof,
recognize the fact that a problem exists in the overloading of the
present combined sewer system, and
WHEREAS, on December 8, 196h, the Board of Commissioners of the
City of Paducah, Kentucky, adopted a resolution authorizing Borns &
McDonnell, Consulting Engineers of Kansas City, Missouri, to inves-
tigate and report to the Board of Commissioners as to certain matters
pertaining to the sewer improvement program of the -City., and
WHEREAS, pursuant thereto, said Burns & McDonnell on December 16th
submitted a timetable for the proposed sewer improvement program of.said
city, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of said city desires to officiall,
approve said timetable.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That.the timetable of the proposed sewer improvement
program for the City of.Paducah, Kentucky, prepared and submitted to the
Citv on.December 16, 196h, be, and the same is hereby, approved, said
timetable being in words and figures.as follows:

2. *Bond consultants complete review of report and

3. City passes ordinance and publishes it is newspaper

Engineers authorized to commence design on relief

and sanitary sewers
h. First contract for relief sewers ready for bidding

5. Take bids and then commence construction on
October 1,

5. Second contract -relief sewers

Third contract -sanitary sewers ready for bidding.

7. General obligation bond issue to voters

ultimate sewer propram if approved by voters
*Ordinance to contain clause to submit minimum ultimate program to
voters in November, 1965 as an issue of General Obligation Bonds for
Storm and relief sewers. Ordinance to also set connection charge for
sanitary -sewer program."

SECTION 2. That it is the intent and purpose of said Board of
Commissioners to do everything within its power to accelerate and speed
up each and every phase of the timetable set out in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. That the total and entire sewer proa_ram will be
carried throuph by the Board of Commissioners of the City as
expeditiously as possible.
SECTION 4. This resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption. .
