AN ORDINANCE CREATING AND ESTABLISHING A PARKS AND RECREATION
DEPARTMENT FOR THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY;! CREATING POSITIONS
THEREIN AND FIXING SALARIES THEREOF
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
HOURLY RATE
Mechanics $1.90
Maintenance Men 1.70
Equipment Operators 1.60
Laborers 1.50
Recreation Center Helpers 1.50
Custodian - Recreation Center 1.25
Upon recommandation of the Director, the Board of Commissioners
may, by motion, employ seasonal and temporary employees to be paid
at comparable rates based upon the position and responsibility
involved, such compensation to be fixed by the motion authorizing
the employment.
j SECTION 1. That there is hereby created and

established
for the City of Paducah, Kentucky, a Parks and Recreation
Department
to provide, equip, maintain and conduct the public
parks, playgrounds
and recreation centers of said City. Said department shall be under the
supervision of a Director of Parks and Recreation,
who;is charged with
the responsibility and duty of supervising said department,
subject to
the orders, control and direction of the Board of
Commissioners of
the said City.

SECTION 2. That in order to perform the duties
of said

department, there is hereby created the following

SECTION 3. On and after January 1, 1965, the Director of

Parks and Recreation, as part of his compensation, shall have the T
free use and occupancy of the residence at Noble Park owned by the Y/�i�
City, with all utilities in connection therewith, furnished by the
City.
SECTION 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances, in conflict
herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after December 16, 1964.
