AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF';BURROUGHS CORPORATION FOR
THE LEASE, LITH OPTION TO PURCHASE, TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY,
OF THREE VALIDATING AND RECEIPTING MACHINES FOR USE IN THE FINANCE
DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT
FOR THE PURCHASE THEREOF
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of
Burroughs Corporation for the leasing from month to month of three (3)
Burroughs Validating and Receipting Machines Style 1010353 as said
machines are described in said Company's bid dated September 10, 1964,
at a rental rate of $100.64 ($33.45 for each machine) beginning January
1, 1965, payable in advance each month, and provided also that said
City reserves the right and option to purchase said machines at any time
after January 1, 1965 at a total cost of $3,540.51, with trade-in of one
(1) used National Cash Register Serial Number S-412 133CC, and said
purchase price of $3,540.51 for said machines shall be credited with
seventy per -cent of all rentals paid, excluding the 3% Kentucky Sales
Tax..
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized to enter into and execute, for and on behalf of the City of
Faducah, a contract for the lease and option to purchase of the equip-
ment provided for in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3, This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on
file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed
form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted
shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
