A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR
BIDS FOR THREE VALIDATING AND RECEIPTING MACHINES FOR USE IN THE
FINANCE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND PRESCRIBING
THE TERP-13 AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby
requested to advertise for bids for the purchase of three (3).
new validating and receipting machines for use in the Finance
Department of said City having the following specifications:
Electrically operated AC 115 Volts 60 Cycle constructed
for attaching handle for manual operation.
Form chute to permit validating of all documents.
Enforced use of amount keys in column 1-8.
Consecutive numbering and dating device.
Counter dial to count number of transactions.
Exact copy -journal of all transactions.
Machine to be equipped with adding machine feature to
list and add multiple documents.
Machine to be equipped with "cash out button" to record
chane return to customers for each transaction.
Capacity of machine to list and total 999,999.99.
Lock to prevent clearing of accumulated totals.
Lock to prevent operation of unauthorized personnel.
In addition to quoting the sale price of said machines, each
bidder shall state the terms under which a Lease Agreement, with
option to purchase, he will execute for said equipment.
SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for sealed bids
by posting a notice at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the
request for bids in the Sun -Democrat to be published not less than
seven days nor more than twenty-one (21) days before the date
fixed for the openinF of bids. All bids shall be sealed and no
bid shall be received after the hour fixed in the notice for the
opening of same. All bids received by the City Manager up to the
time fixed in the notice for the opening of same shall be filed
with the Board of Commissioners who may let a contract to the lowest
and best bidder, and the Board of Commissioners shall reserve the
ri,r'ht to reject any and all bids and the City shall not become
legally obligated until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing
the execution of a purchase contract.
