AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF SANDERS BROS. NURSERY, INC.
IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,145.00 FOR THE FURNISHING AND INSTALLATION OF
PLANTS AND PLANTERS FOR VARIOUS INTERIORS OF THE NEW CITY HALL, AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution adopted by the Board of
Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, on July 14, 1964,
the City Manager of said City did thereafter advertise for bids
for the furnishing and installation of plants and planters for
various interiors of the new City Hall in said City, and
WHEREAS, on August 11, 1964, bids were submitted for such
furnishing and installation in accordance with the plans and spec-
ifications prepared by Edward Durell Stone, Architect, New York,
New York, and Lee Potter Smith & Associates of Paducah, Associate
Architect, and
WHEREAS, in the opinion of the Board of Commissioners of
said City the lowest and best bid for such furnishing and installation
was submitted by Sanders Bros, Nursery, Inc, in the amount of $2,145.00
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, approve and
accept the bid of Sanders Bros. Nursery, Inc. in the amount of
$2,145.00 for the furnishing and installation of plants and planters
for various interiors of the new City Hall in said City, according
to plans and specifications prepared by Edward Durell Stone, Architect
of New York, New York, and Lee Potter Smith & Associ&tes of Paducah,
Kentucky, Associate Architest.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paducah,
a contract with said Sanders Bros. Nursery, Inc. for the services
set out in Section 1 hereof, said contract to contain all pertinent
terms and conditions as stated and set forth in the General Conditions
contained in the specifications.
SECTION 3. Upon full and complete performance of the contract
by said Sanders Bros. Nursery, Inc. according to the plans and
specifications, the City Treasurer is hereby directed and authorized
to pay to said Corporation the sum of $2,145.00 from the Public Works
Cumylative Reserve Fund of the City of Paducah.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on
file for public inspection for one (1) week in the completed form

in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall
be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
