AN ORDINANCE AIMDING SECTION 2 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED:
"ANI ORDINANCE CREATING AND DEFINTING A SANITARY DIVISION FOR THE CITY
OF PADUCAH; CREATING POSITIONS AND SALARIES FOR EI'4PLOYEES IN SAID
DIVISION?; PROVIDING SAID POSITIONS SHALL NOT BE UNDER CIVIL SERVICE",
WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COI -9 ISSIONERS Oil DECEI. BER 23, 1952,
AND ANON?DED ON JANUARY 22, 1963
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF C01,I4ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, Y,ENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 2 of an ordinance containing the title
quoted above, which was adopted on December 23, 1952, and amended on
Januar:- 22, 1963, be, and the same is hereby amended and reordained
so that said section as amended and reordained shall read as follows:
"SECTIOi?
2. That in order to perform the duties of refuse �
collection and disposal as defined in the 'Refuse Collection and
Disposal Ordinance' there is hereby created the following number of / 16—r
positions of employment at the rate of pay specified: �J

11 Truck Drivers $1.62 per hour
22 Collectors 1.51:
1 Tire Repairman 1.65 " +'
1 I:iechanic Helper 1.75 "
1 Equipment Operator 1.92
The hourl- wanes herein provided are for a re7ular work week
of 44 hours and wages shall 1,e paid on a strai7ht time basis up to and
includin- said Lh hours. The salaries of persons appointed to said
Positions shall he paid at the same time and in the same manner as the
salaries of other cit•:r emplol:lees are paid."
SECTIONI 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption and shall be retroactive to July 1, 1964.
