AN ORDINANCE AIZNDING SECTION 1 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED:
"API ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE NUI4BER, RANKS AND MONTHLY SALARIES OF
THE FIRE DEPART161ENT AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH",
WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COT-U4ISSIONERS ON DECEI'•iBER 11, 1951,
AND A14ENDED ON JANUARY 28, 1964
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COP241ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 1 of an ordinance containing• the title
quoted above, which was adopted on December 11, 1951, and amended on
January 28, 1961;, be, and the same is hereby amended and reordained so
that said section as amended and reordained shall read as follows: f'•C`
"SECTION 1. The number and rank of the members of the Fire

Department of the City of Paducah and their monthly salaries, provided
said salaries are not changed by any annual apportiornn3tt ordinance
hereafter adopted shall be as follows:
Position Number of Positions Monthly Salary
Fire Chief 1 $525.00
Asssistant Chief 3 445.00
Fire Prevention Inspector 2 According; to Rank
Fire Captains 1= L:00.00
Engineers lc 350.00
Fire Alarm Operator
(Same rank as Firemen) 1 365,00
Firemen 4.1 335.00
Provided, however, that any fireman hereafter appointed, during
his first rear of service shall receive a salary of $305.00 per month
and upon completion of a year of satisfactory service as determined by
the Cite Aianarer on recommendation of the Fire Chief, his monthly
salary shall be increas=ed to $320,00 for the second year of service, and
upon completion of the second year of satisfactory service as determined
by the City I-IanarTer on recommendation of the Fire Chief, his monthly
salary shall be increased to the sum of $335.00."
SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTOPM 3 This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption and shall be retroactive to July 1, 1964.
