HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 15, Page 318, No Ordinance Number318 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH GULF OIL CORPORATION FOR THE PURCHASE OF ALL REGULAR AND ETHYL GASOLINE AND ANTI -FREEZE FOR USE BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR THE PERIOD OF TIME FROM JULY 1, 1964 TO DECEMBER 31, 1964, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SAID PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COPTIISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to enter into a contract, on behalf of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, with Gulf Oil Corporation for the purchase of the following supplies for use by the City from July 1, 196L to December 31, 1964: Good Gulf Gasoline, octane rating 93, normal tank wagon price $0.2360 per gallon, discount $0.0475 per gallon. No-Nox Gasoline, octane rating 100, $0.2710 per gallon, discount $0.0660 per Fallon. In the event a temporary or subnormal consumer price is put into effect and such price is lower than the established price with discount, the lower price will apply. Anti -freeze, permanent type in gallon. cans, $1.92 per gallon, discount $0.50 per gallon. All products furnished to the City will be paid for on or about the 10th day of the month following purchase. The Company will furnish and install four (k) electrically operated and metered gasoline pumps, necessary tanks and concrete islands. All prices quoted above shall be guaranteed against advance in the market price, and the Company, except as otherwise provided herein, is to guarantee a corresponding reduction in price in the event of a decrease of any of the above items. In the event of fire or other emergency, the Company shall agree to Five twenty-four hour emergency tank truck service to any point in the City seven days per week. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced at a meeting of the Board o.fCommissioners and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days after its adoption. — Mavor Introduced by the Board of Commissioners June 9, 1964 Passed by the Board of Commissioners June 23, 1964 Recorded by Sarah Thurman, City Clerk, June 23, 1964.
