AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
CONTRACT WITH SUNRAY DX OIL COMPANY FOR THE PURCHASE OF ALL MOTOR OIL,
DIESEL FUEL, CHASSIS LUBRICANT, GEAR LUBE OIL, HYDRAULIC OIL AND
KEROSENE FOR USE BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR THE PERIOD OF
TIDE FROM JULY 1, 1964 TO DECEMBER 31,.1964, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS
AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SAID PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby
authorized to enter into a contract, onbehalf of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, with Sunray DX Oil Company for the purchase of the following
supplies for use by the Citv from July 1, 1961 to December 31, 1964:
Motor Oil in 55 -gallon drums as follows:
Best premium grade, detergent HD (not to be a fleet oil) $0.57
per Fallon; First grade, deterrent HD $0.4.5 per gallon; First grade, non -
detergent $0.50 per gallon; Diesel, high deterrent $0.45 per Fallon;
hydraulic oil $O -L5 per gallon; Diesel fuel No. 2 $0.155 per gallon,
discount $O.OL•75 per gallon. H.D. Chassis Lubricant in 100-120 pound
drums $0.215 per pound, discount 40.02 per pound. Gear Lube Oil, weight
1L•O and 90 in 100-120 pound drums $0.13 per pound, discount $0.02 per
pound. Kerosene $0.164 per Fallon, discount $0.0525 per gallon.
All products furnished to the City will he paid for on or about the
10th day of the month following purchase, and the City is to have a one
percent cash discount in ten days on motor oil and greases and the City
shall not be required to make a deposit on drums but all drums are to be
returned by the Citv,
The Company will furnish and install one (1) electrically operated
and metered diesel pump and underground tank.
All prices quoted above shall be Fuaranteed against advance in the
market price, and the Company except as otherwise provided herein, is to
guarantee a corresponding reduction in price in the event of a decrease of
any of the above items.
In the event of fire or other emergency, the Company shall
agree to give twenty-four hour emergency service to any point in the
City seven days per week.
SECTION 2, This ordinance shall be introduced at a meeting of the
Board of Commissioners and remain on file for at least one (1) week for
public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon

its final passar=e, and shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days
after its adoption.
