AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF HOWARD T. SHITHSON AND MACK
W. SANDERS FOR THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN PROPERTY IN L.D. SANDERS
WOODLAWN ADDITION, OWNED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AUTHORIZING
SUCH SALE TO THEM, AND AUTHORIZING THE 14AYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE
A DEED OF CONVEYANCE THERETO
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, accept the offer
Of Howard T. Smithson_ and Pack 1-1. Sanders in the amount of $250.00
for the puchase of certain property owned by said City in McCracken
County, Kentucky, described as follows:
Beinr Lot No. 2 and part of Lot No. 1 in
Block No. 5 of L. D. Sanders Woodlawn Addition
to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, a plat of
which is of record in Plat Book 'W', page 285
in the McCracken County Court Clerk's Office,
and beginninF at a point on the south line of
Route 60, 250 feet west of Virginia Street;
thence southerly at right angles to Route 60
and parallel with Virginia Street 150 feet to
the north line of an alley; thence at right
angles and westwardly with the north line of
said alley 66.46 feet; thence northwardly at
an interior angle of 105° 261,126.04 feet to
a point in the west line of said Lot No. 1;
thence at an interior angle of 164° 34' and
northwardly with the west line of said Lot
No. 1 28.5 feet to a point on the south line
of the aforesaid Route 60;thence eastwardly
with said line of said Route 60, 100 feet to
the point of beginning.
SECTION 2, Upon the payment of the aforesaid sum of $250,00
to the City Treasurer, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to execute, on behalf of said City of Paducah, Kentucky, a deed conveying
said property to said purchasers, with no warranty as to title and
subject to any state of fact that might be shown by an accurate survey.
SECTION 3, This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption,
