AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH-McCRACKEN
COUNTY PLANNING CObMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED
ON BOTH SIDES OF FIFTH STREET BE WEEN MONROE AND MADISON STREETS, AND
AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1961 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That a Resolution adopted by the Paducah -McCracken
County Planning Commission on May 6, 1964, entitled "A RESOLUTION
CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH-McCRACKEN COUNTY PLANNING
COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED ON BOTH SIDES
OF FIFTH STREET BETWEEN MONROE AND MADISON STREETS", be approved
as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein
set forth.
SECTION 2. That the zone classification of the following property
be, and it is hereby, changed from R-4 Multiple Family Zone to B-2
Downtown Business Zone;
Beginning at a point in the center line of Madison Street
173.25 feet east of the east line of 5th Street; thence south,
parallel with 5th Street, 206.25 feet; thence west, parallel
with Madison Street, to the center line of 5th Street; thence
south with the center line of 5th Street to a point 188.25 feet
south of the south line of Monroe Street; thence west, parallel
with Monroe Street, 203.25 feet; thence north, parallel with 5th
Street, to the center line of Madison Street; thence east with
the center line of Madison Street to the beginning.
SECTION 3. That the Paducah Zoning Ordinance -1961 and the Maps
referred to in Section 14 thereof, be, and they are hereby, amended to
the extent and in the respects necessary to effect and designate the
change provided for in Section 2 hereof.
SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this
ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid
for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph
or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision
hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make
each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from
all other sections, paragraphs and provisions.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
