HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 15, Page 283, No Ordinance Number2$3 AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF 33rd STREET AT ITS INTER- SECTION WITH THE BRANCH, AND CLOSING PORTIONS OF CERTAIN ALLEYS IN THE SAME VICINITY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, does hereby authorize the closing of a portion of 33rd Street at its intersection with The Branch, and the closing of portions of certain alleys in the same vicinity, all of which are described as follows: No. 1 Beginning at the point of intersection of the Northerly right- of-way line of The Branch and the Easterly right-of-way line of 33rd Street, said point being 429.321 as measured Westwardly along said Northerly right-of-way line from its intersection with the Westerly right-of-way line of 32nd Street (40' right- of-way); thence continuing with said Northerly right-of-way line of The Branch 60.04' to the Westerly right-of-way line of -43Md Street; thence interior angle 92 degrees 11 minutes 0$ seconds and Northwardlv with the Westerly right-of-way line of 33rd Street 25$.1' to the end of said 33rd Street; thence interior angle $$ degrees 2$ minutes 46 seconds and Eastwardly with the end of said 33rd Street 60.02' to a point; thence interior angle 91 degrees 31 minutes 14 seconds and Southwardly with the Easterly right-of-way line of said 33rd Street 25$.$0' to the point of beginning and making a closing interior angle of $7 degrees 4$ minutes 52 seconds. This is a portion of 33rd street lying northward of The Branch as shown on the plat of Gregory Heights Addition recorded in Plat Book 'A", page 11$-119, McCracken County Court Clerk's Office. No. 2 Beginning at the point of intersection of the Northerly right- of-way line of The Branch and the Easterly right-of-way line of said 20' alley, said point being 202.7' as measured in a Westerly direction along said Northerly right-of-way line of The Branch from its intersection with the Westerly right-of-way line of 32nd Street (40' right -Of -way); thence continuing in a Westerly direction and with the Northerly right-of-way line of The Branch 20.22' to the Westerly line of said alley; thence interior angle 9$ degrees 27 minutes 4$ seconds and Northwardly with the Westerly right-of-way line of said alley 264.6' to the end of said alley; thence interior angle $$ degrees 41 minutes 20 seconds and Easterly with the end of said alley 20.0' to a point; thence interior angle 91 degrees 1$ minutes 40 seconds and Southwardly with the Easterly right-of-way line of said alley 267.0' to the point of beginning and making a closing interior angle of $1 degrees 32 minutes 12 seconds. This is the alley between 32nd Street and 33rd Street, lying North of The Branch as shown on the plat of Gregory Heights Addition recorded in Plat Book "A", page 11$-119, McCracken County Court Clerk's Office. No_1 Do Being an alley, 20' in width, as shown on the Gregory Heights Addition plat, recorded in Plat Book "A", page 11$-119, and beginning on the Westerly right-of-way line of 33rd Street at the Northerly end thereof, and running Westwardly 230' more or less to the Easterly right-of-way line of the P & I Railroad, and also all of that portion of a 20' alley lying approximately 205' West of and approximately parallel to 33rd Street and bounded on the Northerly end by the last mentioned 20' alley and on the Southerly end by the P & I Railroad. SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah be, and he is hereby, authorized and empowered to institute and Prosecute, pursuant to KRS 94.360, an action in the McCracken Circuit Court for a judgment ordering the closing of the street and alleys described in Section 1 hereof. 284 SECTION �.._ This Ordinance shall be in full f from and after its adoption. — Mayor Passed by the Board of Commissioners April 28, 1964 Recorded by Sarah Thurman, City Clerk, April 28, 1964.
