AN ORDINANCE PROPOSING ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY OF THE UNITY
CHURCH, THE UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, LYING ADJACENT TO THE IVEST CORPORATE
LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY
OF THE TERRITORY TO BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY, AND DECLARING THE DESIRABILITY
AND NECESSITY OF SUCH ANNEXATION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMI-11ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1_ It is hereby proposed that certain territory (property
of the Unity Church, The United Church of Christ) adjacent to the west
corporate limits of the Cit,.= of Paducah, Kentucky, more particularly
described hereinafter, he annexed to said City, and that said property
so proposed to be annexed is described as .follows:
Lots 7, P, 9 and 10 in Block No. 1 of the
A. E. (Jack) Cole Addition to the Citv of
Paducah, a plat of which is recorded in Plat
Book "D", pare 6L in the office of the Clerk
of the McCracken County Court.
SECTION 2. It is hereby declared that extending the boundary
of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, by annexing the property described
in Section. 1 hereof is desirable and necessary.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be published in the Sun -
Democrat, a newspaper in Paducah, Kentucky, as provided for and required
by Section 1:2L.130 of Kentuck, Revised Statutes, and the extension of
the city limits as herein proposed shall not become effective until the
adoption of an ordinance annexing the property described in Section 1
hereof, and such ordinance shall not be adopted until publication of
this ordinance as provided herein, and until the expiration of a
period of thirty (30) da•,ls after the passage of this ordinance.
Notice is hereby ri•.ren under the provisions of Section 81.110
of Kentucky Revised Statutes, that one or more residents or freeholders
of the herein territory proposed to be annexed may, within thirty (30)
days after the enactment of this ordinance, file a petition in the
Circuit Court of McCracken County setting forth the reasons why said
territorv, or any part of it, shall not be annexed.
SECTION L. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
